Bradford is a surprising place to live and study. Although it is one of the ten largest cities in Britain, it is small enough to be friendly, compact enough to be easily manageable, and yet large enough to have all the facilities of a thriving, modern city. . If you take a minute, you'll see a city that is vibrant, historic, forward facing, cultural and green. It is home to the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, the most visited national museum outside of London.

Most of the University Halls are on the main campus or only a five-minute walk away on the Laisteridge Lane site. Much of the private accommodation for students is located within two miles of the campus. Compared to most university towns and cities in the UK, privately-rented accommodation in Bradford is quite inexpensive and readily available and certainly one of the cheapest places to study in the UK in terms of cost of living.

Bradford is still traditionally associated with the textile and wool although the industries have diversified considerably.
